Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) is necessary for ESL learners to develop in a diverse and increasingly interconnected planet. ICC faculty members teach students how to successfully share knowledge across societies in spite of different customs, worldviews, and social traditions. This research contributes to the discussion on the relevance of ICC inclusion in language teaching to improve linguistic and cultural competence. The article probes into how the model can further understanding and bridge theory and practice in the three main domains of learning in intercultural training cognitive, affective and behavioral by assisting learners to manage cultural differences and control emotional responses during ICIs. ICL could be promoted by organizing role plays, discussion, and cultural simulations in order to motivate the students to interact with different cultural situations. Such exercises improve language skills, alleviate apprehension and raise awareness about norms of behavior, all of which can contribute to a more successful real-life exchange. With cultural consciousness as a significant core, one can rectify students’ intercultural competence and communication skills for their conversations in multicultural contexts through language teaching. The study underscores the importance of a holistic approach that integrates linguistic competence and cultural competence to prepare students for intercultural communication difficulty.
