Abstract

Poetry has long been one of humanity's most powerful forms of emotional expression. Across cultures, languages, and historical periods, poets have transformed personal experiences into artistic creations that speak to universal human feelings. Through imagery, symbolism, rhythm, and metaphor, poetry enables individuals to communicate emotions that are often difficult to express through ordinary language. This paper examines the relationship between poetry and human emotions, exploring how poetic expression fosters empathy, emotional understanding, and psychological well-being. Drawing upon literary and psychological perspectives, the study highlights poetry's ability to connect individuals across social and cultural boundaries. It also discusses the therapeutic significance of poetry and its continuing relevance in the contemporary digital age. The paper argues that poetry functions as an emotional bridge, allowing people to share, interpret, and understand the complexities of human experience. Ultimately, poetry remains a vital medium through which individuals connect with both themselves and others.
